WE BELIEVE IN GOD'S WORD AND HOLD IT TO BE TRUTH.

The Bible

The Bible is God’s word to all people. The authors were inspired by God and wrote the scriptures under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Bible is true without error and is completely relevant in our daily lives. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

The Trinity

God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity. He exists as one substance in three persons: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority. (John 1:1-4; Acts 5:3-4)

The Father

God is great: He is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, He is holy. It is in Him that we live, move and exist. God is good. He is our father. He is loving, compassionate and faithful to His people and His promises. (Revelation 4:11; Colossians 1:17; Hebrews 1:3)

The Son (Jesus)

Jesus Christ is completely human, but at the same time completely God. He is the only plan for bringing people who are far from God, back into relationship with God. He lived a holy life, so that He could be a substitution for us in satisfying God’s demand for perfection. He defeated death in His resurrection so that we could have life. (John 1:1, 14, 18; John 14:8-9; 1 Timothy 3:16)

The Holy Spirit

His presence assures us of a relationship with Christ. He guides believers into all truth and exalts Christ. He convicts people of their sin, God’s righteousness, and the coming judgment. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Christ. (John 16:8; 13:15; Titus 3:5; Ephesians 1:22; 4:11-12; Romans 8:9-17; 12:4-8; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 12:4-5, 11-13, 19; Galatians 5:25; Hebrews 2:1-4; 2 Corinthians 12:12).

Eternity

Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life in Heaven. Both Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.

Man

Man is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of God’s creation. Man was created to have fellowship with God, but became separated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man cannot attain a right relationship with God through his own effort. Every human is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect and Christian love. (Genesis 3:1-6; Romans 3:10-19; Romans 1:18, 32)

Salvation

The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God and it cannot be earned through our own efforts. (2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Corinthians 12:13)

The Church

The Church is a local community of believers unified through faith in Jesus Christ. We are committed to the teachings of Jesus and the disciples, to obeying all of His commands, and to bringing the Gospel to this world. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Jesus. (Ephesians 1:22-23, 4:16; Acts 2:42-46; 1 Corinthians 14:26; Matthew 28:18-20)

Baptism and Communion

Baptism is a symbolic act to publicly profess our salvation. God commands it, but our salvation is not reliant upon it. We practice full-immersion baptism, symbolizing the process of death and resurrection that Jesus went through for us. The Lord’s Supper is the united commemoration by believers of Christ’s death until He comes and should be preceded by a careful self-examination. (Acts 2:40-42; Romans 6:3-6; 1 Corinthians 11:20-29)

Prayer

Prayer is our ability to communicate with God. Through Jesus’ salvation, we no longer need an intercessor to go between God and us; we can address Him directly.

RAPTURE

We believe in and expectantly await the glorious, visible, personal, premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ.  The blessed hope of His return has vital bearing on the personal life, service, and mission of the believer (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).  We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost. The lost will be raised to judgment and experience eternal wrath in hell.  The saved will be raised to eternal joy in the new heaven and new earth in the manifested presence of God (Acts 1:3, 9; Hebrews 7:25-26).
